Maple, Oak and Mahogany. Partially finished with spray lacquer (full finish would interfere with the mechanism)

I made several trivets based on his design, but i found it very similar to the famous 'Penrose Triangle’, which is an impossible object. So i made a few minor changes with the design, and this is the result.

The video shows the simple but brilliant mechanism at work.
